Traffic Update....Garbage Truck vs SUV Fatality On Hwy 12 |

San Andreas, CA...CHP & Emergency crews are working a fatal traffic collision on Hwy 12 near Central Hill. It was between a garbage truck and an SUV. One way traffic controls are in place and our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of those involved.

Calaveras County, CA...Volunteer community groups will be out in force December 7th and 8th collecting money for the annual “Christmas to Remember” which provides students in need the opportunity to purchase new clothing for the winter season. “We have phenomenal support from our communities, and the pride on the children’s faces when they go shopping is even better. It really reminds us of the true spirit of giving,” said Mark Campbell, Calaveras Unified School District superintendent and a co-chairperson with Gene Weatherby of Mokelumne Hill.

Alternating Road Closures On SR 26 Nove Way TO SR 12 In Valley Springs |

Calaveras County, CA...The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will alternately close the #1 (left) lane, right and left shoulders, bike lane and median on eastbound and westbound State Route 26 (SR-26) from Nove Way to SR-12 in Valley Springs for pavement work. Due to the Thanksgiving Holiday, there is no scheduled road work for Thursday (November 24) or Friday (November 25).

Calaveras County, CA...The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform one-way traffic control on eastbound and westbound State Route 12 at Chestnut Street for striping operations. Due to the Thanksgiving Holiday, there is no scheduled road work for Thursday (November 24) or Friday (November 25).
