Valley Springs Area Business Association Sponsors Supervisors, Judges & Sheriffs Candidates Forum May 12 |

Wallace, CA ...The Valley Springs Area Business Association will be sponsoring a Supervisor, Judge and Sheriff Candidates Forum. On Monday, May 12 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm the Sheriff and Judge candidates will be presented at Better Floor Systems 5476 Hwy 12, Wallace CA. The District 5 Supervisors Forum will be the following evening, Tuesday, May 13 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the same location. If you have any questions you would like answered please feel free to write them down and give to Heather Ugale, Gary Tofanelli or Don Urbanus. Or send to HeatherUgale@UmpquaBank.com, gtofa@yahoo.com, or risingsun@caltel.com Questions will also be accepted at the forum.

Valley Springs, CA ...The Valley Springs Area Business Association announced a new time for the Wine Wednesday Mixer on April 23rd at Umpqua Bank 87 California 26 Valley Springs, CA from 5:00 to 6:30 pm. Meet and greet your local bank and tellers, check out what they have to offer and visit with your neighbors. There will be lots of food and drink with a $5 donation for wine. Valley Springs Area Business Association provides networking and cross-marketing opportunities,promotion of your business or service, events and joint marketing to draw visitors and local shoppers. They are providing solutions with peer to peer support with a focus on collective action for civic improvement.

Law & Justice Candidates Night April 29....Tonight!!!! |

San Andreas, CA...With a focus on law and justice, candidates for sheriff and the two superior court benches will gather for a questions and answer session at the San Andreas Town Hall on April 29. Two half-hour sessions for the judicial candidates will be followed by a one-hour Q&A session for the sheriff contenders. This event will begin at 6:00 PM with meet and greet hour. Candidates for other county offices will also participate in this segment which includes no-host wine, beer and sodas. The Q&A sessions begin at 7:00 PM....
This event is being sponsored by the Calaveras Economic Development Company and the County Chamber of Commerce. Voters may submit questions for the candidates in advance to Contact@CalaverasLife.com. |

San Andreas, CA...On April 26, 2014 the Calaveas County Sheriff's Department will be sponsoring the spring "Drop The Drugs" Day. Every spring and fall the "Drop The Drugs" day allows people to get rid of unused, expired, or illegal drugs with no questions asked. From 10am to 2pm on April 26 the drugs can be dropped off at the following locations: Feeney Park Parking Lot in Murphys, Calaveras County Office of Education in Angels Camp, Mark Twain Medical Center in San Andreas and Toyon Middle School in Valley Springs....

Valley Springs, CA...Wilma Duarte from Valley Springs passed away in San Andreas on April 8th, 2014 of natural causes in San Andreas. Wilma Orronte was born in Stacy California on February 10th, 1930. She later married her husband Bill Duarte. She was a member of the Catholic Church.... |
