Camp Fire Death Totals Continue to Rise. 56 Deaths Confirmed as of November 14th |

Paradise, CA...The Butte County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) reports an additional eight fatalities have been confirmed due to the Camp Fire. Eight human remains were located in Paradise. Six sets of human remains were found inside structures. Two sets of human remains were found outside structures. This brings the total number of fatalities to date to 56.

Camp Fire Death Toll and Homes Destroyed Totals Climb Yet Again to 48 Fatalities & 7,600 Homes Burned |

Paradise, CA...The Homes destroyed has climbed to a staggering 7,600 homes and the death toll climbed again to 48. Today firefighters continued to hold established containment lines. Tonight firefighters will take advantage of nighttime humidity recovery. Throughout the night firefighters will provide structure defense and continue to strengthen and improve existing control lines. Firefighters will be on patrol within the fire area while also mitigating hot spots and hazards.

Camp Fire Now Deadliest Wildfire in State History as Fatality Total Climbs to 42 |

Paradise, CCA...The Butte County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) reports an additional 13 fatalities have been confirmed due to the Camp Fire. 10 human remains were located in Paradise, 7 in homes and 3 outdoors. 3 human remains were located in Concow, 2 outdoors and 1 in a home. This brings the total number of fatalities to date to 42. BCSO Detectives have positively identified 4 sets of human remains. We have been able to locate and notify Next of Kin for three of the four deceased individuals. Next of Kin has been identified for the following individuals: Ernest Foss, age 65, from Paradise Jesus Fernandez, age 48, from Concow Carl Wiley, age 77, from Magalia.

Paradise, CA...November 10, 2018 UPDATE The Butte County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) reports an additional 14 fatalities have been confirmed due to the Camp Fire. Four victims were located in Concow, two in vehicles and two in houses. Ten victims were located in Paradise, seven inside houses, and three outdoors. This brings the total number of fatalities to date to 23.

Paradise, CA...The Butte County Sheriff's Office (8130) reports an additional 6 additional fatalities have been confirmed due to the Camp Fire. The human remains were located in Paradise, 5 in homes and 1 in a vehicle. This brings the total number of fatalities to date to 29.

Paradise, CA...The Butte County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) reports an additional four fatalities have been confirmed due to the Camp Fire. All four victims were located in the Paradise area by BCSO detectives. One person was found inside a residence and three people were found outside of residences. This brings the total number of fatalities to date to nine.

Fatal Dump Truck Rollover Friday Evening on Hwy 12 |

Valley Springs, CA...From the Calaveras Consolidated Fire..."Friday night, Calaveras Consolidated Firefighters & Clements Fire District responded to a vehicle rollover that involved a fatality. A dump truck rolled over into a ditch on Highway 12 near Wallace. The driver was ejected from the vehicle.

Updated....Reginald L. Love, 48 from Lodi Lost His Life in Big Rig Rollover on Hwy 12 |

Valley Springs, CA...(Updated...The sad notifications have been made and it can now be released that it was Reginald L. Love, 48 from Lodi who lost his life in this collision.) On November 2, 2018, at 2052 hours, A Lodi man was driving westbound on SR-12 east of Wards Avenue. For an unknown reason, he allowed his 2010 Freightliner to drive onto the right hand shoulder. He turned the truck to the left and lost control of dump truck. The truck continued sliding straight for several hundred feet and then overturned onto the passenger side. The truck continued on its passenger side, westbound and collided with a 6" asphalt curb. The Freightliner went through the curb and down a dirt embankment, colliding with the ground at the bottom of the embankment. During the collision, the Lodi man was ejected from the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries.

Sad Ending to Search for Bradford Dozier...He Perished in Climbing Accident |

Markleeville, CA...The search for missing person Bradford Dozier ended on November 3, 2018, when his body was found at the base of a cliff in Alpine County, California. Mr. Dozier died as a result of his injuries when he fell approximately two-hundred feet as he attempted to free climb steep terrain on the north side of Peak 9626. Mr. Dozier was described by family and friends as an avid and strong hiker who enjoyed climbing peaks in the Sierras. The Alpine County Sheriff’s Office, along with all involved emergency personnel convey our condolences to Mr. Dozier’s wife, family and friends.

Ione Woman Passes Away from Injuries Sustained in Collision that sent Her Vehicle into Pardee Reservoir |

San Andreas, CA...CHP has issued a sad update that Autumn Hernandez, 35 of Ione has passed away from her injuries. From our earlier report on the collision..."An Ione Woman was driving her Hyundai northbound on Sandretto Road (Pardee Dam Rd), north of Campo Seco Road, traveling at an unknown speed. As she was entering a left hand curve in the roadway for northbound traffic, for a yet to be determined reason, she allowed the Hyundai to travel off of the roadway and collide with the wood/metal guardrail. The Hyundai then continued over the guardrail, and down a dirt embankment. Her vehicle then rolled over, and came to rest, on its roof, submerged in Pardee Reservior. Citizens were able to pull her from the vehicle prior to emergency personnel arriving on scene. She was transported by Air Ambulance to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto with major injuries." CHP San Andreas updated their release to note that she passed away on October 24th
