Kenneth Dale Baker 1963 - 2015

Vallecito, CA...Kenneth Dale Baker, of Vallecito Ca, passed into Glory after a short illness on December 27, 2015. Kenny was born in Long Beach, Ca on January 10, 1963 to Dwight ‘Ed’ and Mary Kesterson Baker. Kenny graduated from Calaveras High School and joined the Navy. He sailed on the maiden cruise of the USS Carl Vincent, an aircraft Carrier. This was a yearlong, around the world cruise, stopping in every major port. The ship was home ported in San Diego Ca. After discharge he attended Sacramento City College, then returned to Calaveras County and worked as a landscaper. In 2010 he opened his own property maintenance business. Kenny was an avid Seahawks fan and enjoyed fishing, boating, camping and NASCAR racing.

Richard Fredrick Harris 1929 - 2015

Murphys, CA...Richard Fredrick Harris (86) Joined his wife Karen on December 17, 2015. He was at home with his family in Murphys. Richard was born February 16, 1929 in Phipps, Wisconsin. He moved to California in 1952. He served his country in the Korean War in the Marines. You can drive around the area and find numerous homes he built during his career as a carpenter. He loved the outdoors and spent his spare timed fishing and camping with family. His favorite pastime was penny-anti poker with the family where he was always the big winner.

Fatal Injuries To Valley Springs Man In Motorcycle Accident

Valley Springs, CA...Kyle Towler, 23 from Valley Springs was riding his 2016 Harley Davidson westbound on Barbour Road at an unknown speed. As he was negotiating a curve to his right east of Silver Rapids Road, he lost control of his motorcycle and slid off the south side of the roadway.

Murphys, CA...Earl Richard (Dick) Evans passed peacefully at his Murphys home on December 8, 2015. Born in Los Angeles in 1927, he was 88. He leaves behind his wife of 45 years Sarah (Sally), his two sons Steven (Dena) of Los Altos Hills and Dan (Joni) of Atlanta, and his granddaughter Jennifer of Oakland, and his younger brother Don, of Eagle, Idaho.

Korean War Veteran William Miladinovich, 87 Passed Away On December 13

Angels Camp, CA...William “Bud” Miladinovich passed away on December 13, 2015 at Doctors Hospital in Modesto California at the age of 87. Bud was a lifelong resident of Angels Camp, and resided in the home his father purchased in 1925 until his death. He was a 1945 graduate of Bret Harte High School where he was the editor of the school newspaper known as “The Bullfrog Gazette.” Bud was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and trained as a Diesel mechanic at Fort Eustis Virginia. Bud was shipped to active duty during the Korean War where he was awarded the Korean Service Medal, 2 Bronze Stars, and the United Nations Medal.

She is survived by her husband Craig Linebaugh of Arnold, Son Jasen Linebaugh of Arnold, daughters Jennifer Cobb of Louisiana, Kebra Prest of Murphys, Star Linebaugh of Arnold and 9 Grandchildren.

San Andreas, CA...Douglas K. Sutherland, April 25th 1939 – December 8th 2016. Doug Sutherland, 76, of San Andreas, CA passed away on December 8, 2015 of natural causes following a battle with cancer. His wife, son, and closest friend were by his side. Doug was born in Oakland, CA in 1939. After Graduating from Oakland Tech High School in 1957, he joined the United States Marine Corps Reserve and served with them until 1963. After raising their family and operating a successful marine business in Fort Bragg, CA, he and wife Jill moved to San Andreas where they have made their home since 2003...

Arnold, CA...We are heartbroken to announce the death of a beloved man Ronald J. Motta: husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great grandfather, God father, colleague and cherished friend. Ron left us after a valiant and courageous fight with cancer on December 2, 2015, while surrounded by loved ones. He was born on November 28, 1933 to Italian immigrants Joseph and Clara Motta who came to America for a better life. Ron spent his earlier years in the Bronx, NY. Italian was his first language and he could speak little English his first day of school. Ron was very bright and at an early age, he excelled in school, later graduating from Iona Prep, then Holy Cross and then a law degree from Santa Clara University.

Valley Springs, CA...Robert (Bob) Henry Luther was Born August 2, 1936 in Providence RI. He passed away on December 1, 2015 Valley Springs. Bob was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung cancer on November 19 of this year. He served proudly in the Airforce from 1954 to 1974 and retired with the grade of Tech Sergeant. After which he pursued his lifelong passion of driving 18 wheelers. Owning his own business from 1976 to his retirement in 2003.
