Born on April 3, 1941 in Grand Forks, North Dakota, Bonnie has been a resident of Calaveras County since 1949. Bonnie retired as a Bank Teller for the former First Interstate Bank in San Andreas, currently Wells Fargo, after 25 years of service. Murphys, CA...Longtime Murphys resident Leon Dube, passed away Wednesday, May 13, after a lengthy illness. He was a Korean War Veteran serving in the United States Army, and a life member of the Murphys Angels Lions Club where he was known as the “General”, he enjoyed being involve in community fundraisers. He is survived by his sisters Karen and Margaret; a daughter, 2 grandsons, a granddaughter, and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers Tony, Allen, and Jerry.

Mountain Ranch, CA...Elizabeth Louise “Betty” Mitton, a long-time resident of Mountain Ranch, CA, died in her home Thursday, April 30th, from natural causes. Born on July 11, 1933, Betty was born and raised in the town of Blackfoot, ID. Tall and athletic, she played softball competitively as a teen, travelling for tournaments and playing nearly every position. She was a formidable golfer and bowler, as well. Whether she was a fan or a participant, Betty loved all sports. It was little surprise, then, that she first met Gary Mitton at a high school basketball game.

San Andreas, CA...Yuko “Betty” Keck Farrow, 62, of San Andreas (and more recently, Stockton) passed away unexpectedly Sunday April 26, 2015 in West Sacramento. She is survived by her ex-husband Robert Farrow, daughter Tami Farrow, son Richard Farrow (and daughter in law, Norma), son David Farrow, brothers Kenny, Paul, and David Keck, sister Louise Keck, nephews Mario and Hunter Keck, and her four beautiful grandchildren: Jestene, Brandon, Ryan, and Mia that were her pride and joy. Yuko immigrated to the United States from Japan with her mother and sister in 1956 at age 4 and grew up in the Bay Area, graduating from Skyline High School in Oakland. While at Skyline, she was on the gymnastics team, specializing in the parallel bars....

Valley Springs, CA...Erica Seawell,45, passed away suddenly on April 30, 2015 at Modesto Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her husband David and her four sons, Dusty, Tyler, Conor and Michael, her mother Shelly Morgan, father John Arnerich, sister Deidre Roniger, grandmother Shirley Arnerich and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Erica graduated from Bret Harte high school in 1987 and attended California State University at Long Beach. During her years at Bret Harte, she won Miss Calaveras and was an accomplished athlete in volleyball, basketball, softball and track. As a standout basketball player, Erica won multiple MVP awards, was named to the Sac-Joaquin All Tourney Team, and held the school record in points scored.
