Passing of a Legend Paul Harvey September 4, 1918 – February 28, 2009 ~By John Hamilton

Posted by: thepinetree on 03/02/2009 02:28 PM
Denair, CA...Paul Harvey was a part of the daily routine of my life on the farm I grew up on. My mom usually had Paul Harvey's daily broadcasts on in the kitchen when I was getting ready for school. I grew up with his folksy wisdom and optimistic view of the ole USA and it's citizens. People such as Paul Harvey and my father (Both Oklahoma Boys) who was two years older than Mr. Harvey, were upbeat and positive about our lives and futures. They were upbeat in their world view even though they were young men in the depression era and saw the ravages of World War Two. I have a special affection for citizens of that great generation who just instinctively knew that any problem could be solved with hard work and determination...
