Several students from Hazel Fischer, Sierra Brown, Anika Jodie, Emily Buss and Sydney Tinetti independently suggested Mustang Meadow as the name and they were recognized at the dedication. Last year some people had a vision, they had some ideas and people power to make an idea come to life. That idea was to make the most of a wonderful resource right behind Hazel Fischer School....Mustang Meadow! Known formerly and generically as "The back area of the school," Mustang Meadow has grown into and accessible outdoor learning zone! The name Mustang Meadow was selected from dozens of suggestions from students last year...

SMUG To Explore Time Machine During September Meeting

Arnold, CA....Time Machine, the program that allows Apple users to back up valuable data, will be the subject of the next meeting of the Sierra Macintosh Users Group (SMUG) to be held Tuesday, September 14 beginning at 7 p.m. in the assembly room of the Ebbetts Pass Fire District, 1037 Blagen Rd., just off Highway 4. “One of the biggest reasons to choose Time Machine to create archives is its ease of use,” states club member Phill Hoxie who will make the presentation. “Apple says it takes just one click to set it up, which may be true in rare cases, but usually there is a bit more involved.”...
