Arnold, CA...Stop by the CHS Thrift Store Adoption Center in Arnold this week, Thurs - Sat., 10-5pm. Located in Meadowmont next to Big Trees Market - Phone 209-795-GIVE. Visit with "Puzzle", a beautiful young adult black and white tuxedo female and several kittens ranging from 11-13 weeks old. All have been altered, tested for distemper/leukemia (neg.), are current on shots and include a FREE vet health check!

Arnold, CA...The first Saturday in July is when all the stars seem to align for Arnold. This year was no exception. The Hwy 4 was lined with people for nearly a mile as float after float moved past. This year's GABA Parade honored the local service clubs that add so much to our community. The Lions, Rotary and Moose Clubs led off the parade as Grand Marshals.... We now have Parade Video that includes all of the highlights of the Parade. Photos Below and Video is enclosed....

Summer is finally here and White Pines Park is ready for use with the help of so many in the community. Members of the Arnold Lions, Arnold Rotary, Juvenile Probation, GABA, local residents and the Park Committee accomplished the big pine needle and tree limb clean-up after the hard winter. The task was made so much easier with the loan of a loader by Everett’s Snow Removal and Paving Co. for the piles of needles. Paul Bertini’s Plumbing was part of the team by repairing the Park’s restrooms.....

And for our customers at the Calaveras Humane Society Thrift Store, it means terrific new treasures at fantastic bargain prices! Summer clothing is out, along with accessories, high-quality furniture, jewelry, household items, books, toys, fantastic collectibles, you name it! Arnold, CA...The 30th Annual Arnold Independence Day Parade is Saturday, July 2nd! Join in the family fun as we honor Our Service Clubs as Grand Marshals this year...The Arnold Moose, the Arnold Lions and Arnold Rotary! It will be held at 10am Roads will be closed at 9:30am.
LION WILL ROAR (or something) AT SMUG’S JULY 12 MEETING

Members of the Sierra Macintosh Users Group (SMUG) will get a preview of the eagerly anticipated new Apple operating system during the club’s Tuesday, July 12 meeting that will begin at 7 p.m. in the assembly room of the Ebbetts Pass Fire District, 1037 Blagen Rd., just off Highway 4, in Arnold. ....
Murphys, CA...Caltrans crews will be cutting brush and mowing along Hwy 4 from Darby Russell road up to the Camp Connell Maintenance Station. There may be 5 minutes delays and one-way traffic controls in effect. The work should be completed by June 30th. Please use caution in this area...

Ebbetts Pass is now open for the summer and the 4Th of July is this coming weekend. Make sure to make your reservations for camping as there is limited campground space available due to the snow pack in the high country. We are still getting plenty of fish planted. White Pines, Beaver Creek, North Fork of the Stanislaus, Union Reservoir, Lake Alpine, and Angels Creek are due to be planted again this week. Should be another awesome fishing week on our corridor ....
