Arnold, CA...Hey Good People. Please help locate this girls owners...Female, Border Collie x Cattle Dog , Black and White. Older dog, has some milky glazing across the eyes. Right eye has been injured, but long enough ago for it to scab and look like it is healing well. She is well fed, probably close to 55 lbs, and her coat is in good condition. Found running on Highway 4 between Avery and Arnold by three kindhearted out of town visitors who were taking her to Ebbetts Pass Fire Dept, when they saw I was open. She is at Carrie's Critter Couture, 209.480.6347 874 Henry St, between the Giant Burger and Fire Dept. Please share and help her get home! Pictures below.

Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! Presidents weekend looks to be a great one with events and beautiful weather! Angels Camp, CA...Stop by the Calaveras Humane Society's Thrift Store/Cat Adoption Center in Angels Camp, located in Angels Town Center at 240 S. Main St./Hwy 49, open Thurs/Fri, 10am–5pm, and Saturday, 11am–5pm. Precious will be there to meet you, along with a few other fabulous kitties who would love to meet you! Cat availability has decreased until kitten season, so our Arnold Adoption Center will be CLOSED this week. If you want to meet some kitties, Angels Camp is the place to be! The kitties hope to see you there!
Angels Camp, CA...Recently The Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce held it's 2016 Awards Dinner at CAMPS Restaurant at Greenhorn Creek. It was a great night that led off with a keynote by Senator Tom Berryhill who represents the citizens of Amador, Calaveras, Inyo, Mariposa, Mono, Tuolumne counties as well as parts of Fresno, Madera, Sacramento, Stanislaus, and Tulare counties. Many in our local business community have been going all out in the wake of the Butte Fire to get our county and it's residents back to normal. Many of the awards were influenced by the efforts of individuals and businesses that have been making a difference.

San Andreas, CA...As part of a continuing partnership with Soroptimist International of Calaveras County, Mark Twain Medical Center (MTMC) will be offering FREE cholesterol tests for women in Calaveras County during American Heart Month in February. "Many people who are at risk for a heart attack and stroke don't know it,” stated MTMC Cardiologist Courtney Virgilio. “The good news is that many of the risk factors for cardiovascular disease are preventable and/or treatable. Health screenings are one way to get ahead of potential cardiovascular issues. It is important to review these results with your doctor so that you can come up with a plan together to keep you doing well.” Last year over 500 Calaveras County women benefitted from our FREE Cholesterol screenings.
