Arnold, CA...Mornings with the One Percent™ is live weekday mornings from 7-10am. Mornings with the One Percent™ is mornings with you!! About the naming of the show...The USDA Ranked all the counties in the US on a "Natural Amenities Index" this index is intended as "A measure of the physical characteristics of a county area that enhance the location as a place to live". These included six metrics on climate, topography and water area that reflect environmental qualities that most people prefer. Calaveras County ranked 14th, Tuolumne ranked 34th, Amador came in at 29 and Alpine 26th. So all of our counties statistically are not only the top one percent but in the top 1/2 of one percent. So in many ways in our combined areas it really doesn't get any better than this. Replay Videos Enclosed...

Construction From on Hwy 4 from Upper Moran to Big Trees State Park |

CALAVERAS COUNTY — The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform one-way traffic control on eastbound and westbound State Route 4 from Upper Moran Road to Calaveras Big Trees State Park entrance for construction activities. Work will begin Monday, August 21, 2017, through Friday, August 25, 2017, from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Motorists should expect 10 minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.

Arnold, CA...Don’t count us out. If the bridge on Blagen road is not in place, we will hold this event at Independence Hall Community Center. Ebbetts Pass Moose Lodge Car Show and Chili Cook Off. Car enthusiasts and Chili lovers bring the family to Arnold, CA, on Highway 4 across from White Pines Lake. There will be food and raffles, Chili tasting, and lots more. Admission is free. “Anything on Wheels” can be entered into the Car Show, even your Covered Wagon. Saturday, August 19, 11-3pm. Car Show entry donation is $20, Chili Cook Off entry donation is $10 per team. Those who want to taste Chili can get a tasters wrist band for $5 that includes tasting and a People’s Choice Award ballot. Car Show entries will be allowed day of show space permitting. Get your entry forms in advance, set up time details, and more information, at www.facebook.com/ebbettspassmooselodgeevents. This event is a fundraiser that benefits the many local charities and non-profits supported by the Woman of the Moose Chapter 1714, Ebbetts Pass Moose Lodge, 1965 Blagen Road, Arnold, CA 95223.

Arnold, CA...Calaveras Big Trees Association Presents A Day in the Park on Saturday, August 19, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Bring your family and friends to a fun-filled afternoon of music by the local favorite, Magnolia Rhythm Trio. They will be performing from 12 – 2 at the Campfire Center. Delicious barbecue will be available prepared by Big Boys BBQ’IN. Food will be available in front of Jack Knight Hall from 11 – 3.
