Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! Partly cloudy skies abound this morning as the trough presses closer to the West Coast this morning. Long wave radiation will keep things around 52F for the high today due to the cloud cover and wind will be SSE predominantly from 2-7mph. Unsettled weather will arrive Wednesday and hang around into the weekend. Warm temps will again bring snow levels up to and above pass levels so any chance of snowfall will be at the peak levels for the next 4/5 days. Next weak a series of soft pulses will move across NorCal and stay mostly above I-80. Change still looks in order for the 7th-9th of January as the axis tilts in our favor for snowfall production but that’s still a week or so away. Fungers crossed good people!!!!! It’s a great time to take a lesson or just bring the Family up for some tubing or a try at the climbing wall we have set up off the Lower Breezeway deck. Join us to raise a glass, dance the night away and ring in the New Year at Bear Valley’s annual New Year’s Eve Party. We’ll have live music, a balloon drop at midnight followed by a fantastic fireworks show that will light up the snow-capped mountains. Arnold, CA...From reader Matthew Murphys..."Employee arrived to open. Noticed person inside. Called 911. Calaveras county deputies apprehended subject. Rumor is they had to tase him for non-compliance. 20 something year old Matt. Unknown last name. Same guy that stole a Jeep and busted into JJ's and stole the register about two years ago. He was released from jail less than twenty four hours ago after serving some kind of sentence"

Arnold, CA...Ronald David Burns, Arnold, CA, age 84, died of a heart attack on Saturday, December 23, 2017. Ron was born on August 11, 1933 at Jefferson Hospital in Los Angeles, CA. He was the only child of, Norbert P. Burns (Paddy), originally from Pennsylvania, and Olive Anderson Burns, originally from Oklahoma . His son, Paul Norbert Burns, (62) and daughter-in-law, Lynn V. Burns of San Jose, CA, were with him as he passed away. He is survived by his son, Michael Scott Burns (64) of Ocean Springs, Mississippi and two grandsons, Christopher Patrick Burns, also from Ocean Springs, and Andrew Ian Burns from White House, Tennessee. Still friends with his ex-wives, Gwen, who lives in Coos Bay, Oregon and Maureen from Palm Desert, CA.
