Arnold, CA...A new storm system will roll through the next few days. Along the West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada it should feel like a cake walk after the last systems. At higher elevations it should put a fresh coat of white on everything for the upcoming weekend. Today Partly cloudy in the morning then becoming mostly cloudy. Highs 37 to 51 higher elevations...48 to 58 lower elevations. Prevailing southeast winds 5 to 15 mph. Tonight Mostly cloudy. At lower elevations, a slight chance of rain in the evening, then a chance of rain and snow after midnight. At higher elevations, a slight chance of rain and snow in the evening, then a chance of rain and snow after midnight. Lows 22 to 37 higher elevations...34 to 40 lower elevations. No snow accumulation lower elevations...up to 2 inches higher elevations. Snow level 5500 feet. Prevailing southeast winds 5 to 15 mph with gusts to around 35 mph...except south 15 to 30 mph over ridges.

Bear valley, CA...Hey Good People! It's Saturday and It looks to be an awesome weekend with Sunny Skies and ENE winds from 6-8mph. Continued warming and Sunshine is on tap for Sunday also so let's get riding! We got the Grizz Chair turning Thursday and we will do some Avalanche Control again this morning due to winds and the opening of the Grizz bowl looks to be sometime around 10 or 11am depending on how the control work goes. The Rassmussen Classic is this Sat/Sun so check that out also. A return of snow is in the forecast for the coming mid week so be sure to check back and and see how that progresses.Come on up and experience our local "Pure Mtn Fun" ethos and stay tuned..........
Power Outage Update....Just 63 Customers Left Without Power....Unfortunately 55 Are In Dorrington

Dorrington, CA....PG&E crews have gotten the bulk of their customers in our area back up with electrons flowing. the only block of homes dark are the 55 in Dorrington. The rest of the outages are all isolated incidents. Great work everyone. As of this morning there are in Arnold 7 Outages affecting 7 Customers. Dorrington 5 Outages affecting 55 Customers & Rancho Calaveras 1 Outages affecting 1 Customers.
