Apple’s innovations are constantly making exciting news with new gadgets and software as will be evident during the next meeting of the Sierra Macintosh Users Group (SMUG) to be held Tuesday, November 9 beginning at 7 p.m. in the assembly room of the Ebbetts Pass Fire District, 1037 Blagen Rd., just off Highway 4. Brian Thomas, Technology Specialist and Trainer for the Calaveras County Office of Education will be making the presentation and leading the discussion. He will explore some of Apple’s latest products and share some of the coolest features of iLife ’11 and conduct a comprehensive demonstration of IPhoto ’11. As is always the case with these meetings, there will be subjects covered and questions answered that are not on the agenda....

San Andreas, CA...Last night was outgoing Clerk Recorder Karen Varni's last election rodeo. We would like to thank Karen for always being helpful on Election Nights. District 5 has a new Supervisor. Darren Spellman is ahead in a very hard fought race. Angels Camp looks like it will have two City Councilman. Stuart Raggio was the top vote draw in the City and Greenhorn Creek Resident Steve Difu is running 8 votes ahead of Mayor Jack Lynch...
