Bear Valley, CA...Last week at their winter Bear Valley management on the record wouldn't commit to a specific day but spoke in general terms. The terms were over 2 feet of natural snow on top of the snow they had already been making. This storm should provide that and more. The wild card is wind. If this snow fall is followed by high winds that blow the snow off the ridges it will reduce their effective snow accumulation. From the looks of the Weather Reports and according to their opening parameters I bet wheels are turning Thanksgiving weekend. The high side of the snow estimates from the National Weather Service is 58 inches. The full weather forecast for Bear Valley is enclosed. Big Trees Market “Help Fight Hunger Food Drive”! |

Arnold, CA... Beth Schultz, store manager of Big Trees Market, delivered 2,694 pounds of food for Santa’s Express to the Food Bank today. Big Trees Market/IGA put a $20.00 value of food together in a grocery bag to show their customers what they would donate if they purchased a bag of food for the Food Bank. When customers donated $10.00, Big Trees Market matched the donation. They estimate that approximately 180 customers donated money for food bags. “We couldn’t be more pleased,” said Beth Schultz, “our customers are so generous. ....

This week, the Calaveras County Library System, connected the Arnold Branch Library to their WI-FI network and the Arnold Friends of the Library funded the necessary hardware. So, tell your friends, family and visitors FREE WI-FI SERVICE is now available @the Library! Laptops have become smaller, cheaper, light, faster, and more powerful than comparable.....
