Hot summer weather should be here just in time for your 4th of July weekend & that has everybody thinking of getting out on the water! Our kayak sales &rentals have been very brisk these past couple weeks. If you're thinking about renting a boat in Arnold this weekend, Saturday is almost sold out, but we have good availability on Sunday & Monday. Don't forget - we havestand-up paddleboards (SUP) in our rental fleet & young people love 'em. It's a great workout & it's fun. See you on the water!!

Arnold, CA....The Great Arnold Business Association is meeting this evening at 6pm at the Ebbetts Pass Fire Department to hold a planning meeting for the Independence Day Parade! They are looking for VOLUNTEERS! PLEASE ATTEND IF YOU CAN! Grand Marshals this year are in honor of our Service Clubs....The Arnold Lions, The Arnold Moose and Arnold Rotary! This year marks the 30th year of the Annual Arnold Independence Day Parade. It will be held on Saturday, July 2nd at 10am. Roads will close at 9:30am.

The opening concert for Tommy's Backyard up in Camp Connell took place on Saturday eve. It was such a wonderful night! The weather was perfect, the music was fantastic, and they food was super! Even better was a huge crowd filled with a great mix of locals and visitors. There were happy kids running around giggling and dancing on the dance floor, just like they should on the perfect summer night! Come join the fun up at Camp Connell during one of their next summer evening events!

Angels Camp Male Arrested on Multiple Burglaries, and Other Charges |

On 06/20/2011 Tyler Jorgensen was arrested in Angels Camp, CA. The arrest is a result of investigation into a series of burglaries occurring with the last few weeks in Arnold, CA. Jorgensen has been charged in 6 cases involving possession of drup paraphernalia, theft, vandalism, first degree burglary, second degree burglary, possession of stolen property, identity theft and attempted theft by use of an access card. These cases are still under investigation and any additional information....

Arnold, CA...Stop by the CHS Thrift Store Adoption Center in Arnold this week, Thurs - Sat., 10-5pm. Located in Meadowmont next to Round Table Pizza - Phone 209-795-GIVE. "PUZZLE" is a short haired tuxedo adult female. She is very sweet, super gentle and very mellow. Puzzle has all the typical tuxedo markings except for her face…where she has an unusual black splotch on her lips and mouth that looks like a puzzle piece. She enjoys being petted and just loves curling up in your lap and turning on her quiet purr motor.

Our annual Father's Day Derby was held on Sunday, June 19Th at White Pines Lake located near Arnold. It was a fantastic success with many fish caught and good times had by all. Before I list the winners I have some companies I would like to thank. Sierra Pacific Industries has been an annual donner.
