Arnold Rim Trail Association Steering Committee Announces New Map Available for the Arnold Rim Trail

Arnold, CA...After several years for hard work by the Arnold Rim Trail Association in conjunction with Stanislaus National Forest, an up-to-date map is now available for download on the Arnold Rim Trail website. Please note that this map will be a "work in progress" over the next several years as we continue to build new trail and modify older ones. Our goal is to eventually replace all service roads with single track trail. Also, we look forward to eventually building trail on the other side of Highway 4. But this map represents the current Arnold Rim Trail as it exists at this point in time....

Arnold - Murphys, CA...(Update...We just stopped by and the event is just about to get underway!! Make sure you stop by today!!) To help ease the burdens caused by the tragic death of 8-year-old Haley Elaine Verzani, the family’s friends and neighbors are organizing a fundraising event to be held in the Murphys Community Park on Saturday, April 21 from noon to 7:30 p.m. Haley was killed on March 18 when a 100-foot fir tree crashed into her Arnold home during a fierce storm. She was a third-grader at Hazel Fischer Elementary School in White Pines. In addition to the loss of their daughter, the family faces replacement of their belongings destroyed during the downpour...

Bear Valley, CA...This Afternoon: Snow showers. Temperature falling to around 30 by 2pm. Windy, with a south southwest wind between 32 and 34 mph, with gusts as high as 50 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 5 to 9 inches possible. Tonight: Snow showers. Low around 18. Breezy, with a west wind 22 to 25 mph decreasing to between 7 and 10 mph. Winds could gust as high as 38 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 7 inches possible.
