Arnold, CA...“Helicopter Harry and the Copter Kids Whirlybird Adventures.” This book began 17 years ago when I was training to be a helicopter pilot. I originally wrote the story for children 8 and up as a screenplay about the evolution of the helicopter told in a fun animated way with an emphasis on Leonardo da Vinci and his helicopter with the story eventually morphing into today’s book...
Funds to Enhance Visitor Experience at Calaveras Big Trees State Park

Arnold, CA....The Calaveras Big Trees Association (CBTA) has received an $83,000 grant from Save the Redwoods League toward work on a new visitor center at Calaveras Big Trees State Park. The funds will allow CBTA to complete design work and furnish the Center's book store and the offices used by volunteers and CBTA staff. The multi-million-dollar visitor center project is being built with funds from state park construction bonds, $500,000 in donations raised over a period of more than 15 years by CBTA, and the donation from Save the Redwoods League.....
Avery, CA...There a a few incidents at this time keeping emergency crews busy. From North to South...on Hwy 88...there is a solo vehicle accident blocking a lane near Dew Drop. On Hwy 4 up the hill there is a single vehicle non-injury accident in the Dorrington area at summit level road. Down the hill on Hwy 4 at Milton Road there is an accident in that area. In Tuolumne County there is a 4 vehicle non-injury 4 vehicle accident in the Mi Wuk area on Mi Wuk St. Please use caution out there today...
