Major Injury Motorcycle Accident on Hwy 4

Murphys, CA... A 51 year old Arnold man was riding his motorcycle eastbound on Highway 4 on the Utica Grade at an extremely high rate of speed when he failed to negotiate a right hand curve. After crossing into and over the opposing westbound lane, he struck a rock embankment and was fully ejected. He was subsequently air lifted to Doctor's Medical in Modesto with major injuries while his motorcycle received moderate damage. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision and he was arrested for DUI at the hospital. (CHP release enclosed)...

Vietnam Vet and Vallecito Unified's John Allen Burita, 1945-2013 (Services Tomorrow at Hazel Fisher)

Arnold, CA....John Allen Burita, 1945-2013, died peacefully in his home in Arnold on May 1st from cancer. John was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 8th, 1945 to the parents of John Albert Burita and Mary Francis Burita. He graduated from Downers Grove High School and attended Northern Illinois University before being drafted into the army in 1965, where he served as an aircraft mechanic in Vietnam. After his discharge, he moved to California, met his wife Sue, and lived in Santa Cruz until 1977 when the family moved to Arnold....

Valley Springs, CA... Tonight Sgt Chris Hewitt gave the update and much of what was covered is below but there were some additional details for those of you following the cast to make it worth a viewing. Calaveras County Sheriff’s Investigators have been in contact with the Fowler family and continue to make progress in the investigation into the murder of 8-year-old Leila Fowler.
