Arnold, CA...We had the pleasure to check in with Doug Shinn from Cedar Creek Realty on the status of the negotiations with Calaveras County on the Driveway Slope Issue. For those of you who may not be familiar with the issue the County is now interpreting an existing county ordinance in a more restrictive manner than it had been doing for a number of years. There have been several Stakeholders meetings and a Supervisor Study Session on this topic. A meeting has now been scheduled...

CHP Release is in for Three Vehicle Collision That Occurred on Saturday |

Arnold, CA...The CHP release is in for the multiple car collision that occurred on Saturday March 9th in the afternoon at Hwy 4 and Pine Drive. Three people suffered minor injuries and were taken to different hospitals. CHP release enclosed....

Arrests Made In Arnold Area Burglery |

Arnold, CA...Deputies were dispatched to a report of a burglary in progress approximately 4:40pm on Sunday March 9th The reporting party told dispatch there were three suspects that left the area in a dark blue sedan. Deputy Chris Dorsey stopped a vehicle matching the description given in Hathaway Pines. A flat screen television and miscellaneous tools were among the items found in the vehicle...

Arnold, CA....The Arnold Rotary Club is offering two vocational grants totaling $2000.00, to be awarded on May 15, 2008. The club’s Adult Individual Initiative Grant for $1000.00, focuses on adults residing in Calaveras County who have experienced unemployment or have been employed only in entry-level jobs and are working to improve their employability skills.....

TRAFFIC NEWS.....Hwy 4 Delayed Due to Injury Accident at Hwy 4 and Pine Drive in Arnold |

Arnold, CA...There is a three car vehicle collision at Hwy 4 and Pine Drive in Arnold. There appears to be three parties injured that are being taken to local hospitals. There appears to be two minor and one minor to moderate from what we have been told. Ambulance and CHP are on scene now. Hwy 4 traffic is moving very slow in both lanes and is expected to be delayed for the next hour or so.

| Calaveras County, CA...Rumor has it that two more candidates have pulled papers to possibly run for Supervisor District 4 today. Sarah Lunsford of Murphys and Ron Klass also of Murphys are entering the Supervisorial Race against Tom Tryon. Ron Klass has run previously for this District seat in the past. Sarah Lunsford, a veteran of the local media scene, is a first time candidate. |
