Fishing Report Hwy 4 Corridor September 24, 2013 |

Arnold, CA...The smoke has been gone now for two weeks and the fishing on the Highway 4 corridor is excellent. Trout plants for this week are the East and West Fork of the Carson River. Lake Alpine was planted this past week by Alpine County. Make sure to obtain a fire permit and call the Forestry Dept. at 209-795-1381 for up to date fire restrictions as we are still in a dangerous fire time. Make sure to check the weather before heading to the high country, as it can change quickly at this time of year. Deer season for D-6 opened this past weekend and D-5 opens this upcoming weekend, September 28. Good luck to all hunters...

Fire Restriction to be Lifted in Moderate Hazard Areas |

Sonora, Calif., (September 25, 2013)…The Forest Service today announced that due to shorter days, cooler weather, and higher humidity, fire restrictions in effect by Forest Order since August 8, are to be lifted effective Thursday, September 26, within the Moderate Hazard Areas of the Stanislaus National Forest (NF). Upon lifting of the restriction visitors may use wood, charcoal, or gas fires or stoves outside of developed campgrounds as long as they possess a valid California Campfire Permit and follow the permit regulations...

As the hot temperatures slowly start to fall, saying goodbye to summer can be difficult. It's goodbye summer and all the things we love about it. Such as flip flops and tan lines, swimming pools and river floats, and sunshine at 8:30 at night. But there's so much to look forward to in the fall, also! San Andreas, CA...Buck is about 1 year old. A busy little Dacshund/Beagle mix. He's an independent guy who is a bit aloof at first meeting but who will reward patience with an exuberant response when called and vault happily into your lap for a quick kiss. Molly is a 57 pound Pit around a year old. Very puppy like but great on coming when called. Good on leash and really wants to please so corrects very well. Molly is not a ball player but wants to play with humans and really wants to sit in human laps. Molly is eager to learn...

| Arnold, CA...Our little Wire Hair Terrier Mix named Jenny ran off from us on the Arnold Rim Trail near the Penny Pines area. We live on Diablo View in the Lakemont neighborhood. She was heading East towards town the last time we saw her. She is wearing a pink collar with an ID tag and a pink harness. She is about 11 months old, black with brown highlights (kinda looks like Rod Stewart), and weighs about 16-17lbs. Please help us find her. Our numbers are 925-523-1537 or 925-699-7550.
