Sheriff Gary Kuntz "Why I’m Running For Re-Election |
Posted by: thepinetree on 04/08/2014 01:01 PM
|
Calaveras County, CA...When I ran for Sheriff four years ago, law enforcement in Calaveras County faced some real challenges. I believed then that my 24-year career in Calaveras County law enforcement made me the best candidate to confront those challenges, and I asked for your vote. I sincerely appreciate the trust placed in me by the voters. Back then I pledged to fight for public safety. I pledged to put emphasis back on community policing. I pledged to help get the jail project back on track, and to restore trust in the Sheriff’s office. Today, working together, we have made real progress on all these fronts.

Calaveras County, CA ... Maybe you’re a cat or dog person, or a bird or horse person, or even an iguana or rat person. I think of myself as an “everything person.” This simply means that I love all animals (except spiders!). If you feel like I do, now is the perfect opportunity to get involved with the Calaveras Humane Society as a volunteer. At this time of year, the County Animal Shelter is full to overflowing with kittens and puppies as well as adult cat and dogs. They need your help desperately. Some of you may not be aware that the Calaveras Humane Society takes cats and kittens from the County Shelter and places them into foster care. Some are older cats who need socialization and some tiny babies even need bottle feeding. The Humane Society provides the food, litter and veterinary care so your cost is minimal. The only requirement is a love of all things feline and a little extra time and room in your life to do something worthwhile. Fostering the cats allows them to become more adoptable as they are then comfortable with human interaction and more loving to their owners...

Arnold, California ‑ Eugene Bartee was preceded in death by his loving wife Sharon Bartee on October 26, 2007, both residents of Calaveras County for twenty years. Eugene served his country in the Navy and was a manager and engineer at Pac Tel. Eugene supported his community in many ways and loved to fish, kayak, and birdwatch. He enjoyed traveling to visit with his siblings Deloise, Bruce, Pat, Gail, David, Lovena, John, and Margret.
