Fall Registration is here! It’s time to register for the 2008 fall soccer season. They will have teams for boys and girls ages 4 through 15. For more information or to register online, go to EPYSL.org. The Ebbetts Pass Youth Soccer League is a volunteer organization established to provide an opportunity to participate in organized soccer for children aged 4 through 19 living in the Copperopolis, Angels Camp, Murphys and Arnold areas.....

Arnold, CA....CAL Fire is reporting a Flue fire on March 30th at 2947 Lakemont Drive in Arnold. There were no injuries. Damage estimate is $3000. The full fire report is enclosed....

Arnold, CA....CAL Fire reported a small vegetation fire caused by an escaped debris burn on March 28th around 4:33pm at Crystal Way and Fairview Drive in Arnold. Fire report enclosed....

Calaveras County, CA....It’s time to start thinking about the next graduating senior class and their fun and exciting Sober Grad Night Party. Sober Grad Night began at Bret Harte in 1989. Those parents took the idea from Napa High School. Calaveras High joined in the fun in 1992. The purpose of Sober Grad Night is to keep our teenagers in a safe and chemical free environment, while giving them a fun graduation party at the same time. There have been no deaths or seniors....

| Arnold, CA....Chapel in the Pines, on May11th through May 18, 2008, is on another rebuilding mission. Some may recall the mission to Long Beach, Mississippi back in March 2006. Long Beach, MS was one of many communities hit by Hurricane Katrina. Many homes were worked on that week. Many lives were encouraged by their loving acts of kindness...... |

Angels Camp, CA...."Committee members and community volunteers have been working diligently for the past months to make the sixth annual Relay for Life an event to remember. This year's Relay will be held at Bret Harte High School on April 26-27 from 10 a.m. to 10 a.m. Everyone is invited to participate in the event. Informational booths on various cancers will be available on site, as well as day-long entertainment, fun, food and games. For those who would like to .....

| Blue Lake Springs, CA.....A part time Blue Lake Springs resident, was getting ready to take a shower last night, and was faced with a little surprise....a bat had taken up residence in the shower curtain. He went to corral the critter to move outdoors, but with his lacking skills in bat-catching, he tried to capture it in a ever so popular Trader Joe's bag. Well, he was unsuccessful....instead he was bitten on the hand..... |
