Arnold, CA...On 12/8/16 at about 1:45 PM, The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Ebbett’s Pass Fire Station for a report of a victim of a gunshot wound. Detectives learned that the victim, 33 year old Robert Allen Hilton Jr., and the witness, 48 year old Lamir Anthony Amma, both out of Richmond, California claimed to be driving from Oakland to the Sacramento area. The witness stated that he was asleep in the vehicle when the victim pulled off the roadway and stepped outside the vehicle. While outside of his vehicle at an unknown location on the shoulder of the roadway the victim sustained a gunshot injury to his upper torso. The witness reported that he was awakened when heard 2-3 “tap” noises that could have been gunshots. The witness stated that he saw a grey sedan leaving the scene. The witness exited the vehicle and dragged the victim into their vehicle.
