The Arnold Classic Car Show Brought Rolling Art To Cedar Center |

Arnold, CA...The 2015 Arnold Classic Car Show brought rolling art to Cedar Center. Every year this show seems to grow and mature. Over 100 vehicles graced Cedar Center with style ranging from restorations to complete customs. The venue is maturing as well with the Arnold Pantry, Moose Lodge & others providing food and beverages during the event. We have 134 photos below and tried to get at lease one shot of each entrant. As we make upgrades to our site it also allows us to have higher resolution photos for many of our photo albums and slide shows. These are at 1024 resolution which should display much clearer on newer high resolution screens. Just click on one of the photos below to take you to the upgraded photo albums..

Angels Camp, CA...Stop by the Calaveras Humane Society's Thrift Store/Cat Adoption Center in Angels Camp, located in Angels Town Center at 240 S. Main St./Hwy 49. Summer hours for the Angels Camp Adoption Center are Thurs/Fri, 10 am–5 pm, and Saturday, 11 am–5pm. This week Angels Camp will feature the adorable kittens you see pictured, as well as other kitties who would love to meet you. Our Arnold Adoption Center will also have kitties available to meet you, located in Meadowmont Center next to Big Trees Market, open Thurs.-Sat., 10am to 5pm. Come in to one or both adoption centers this week and check out the selection of kitties! If you're a cat lover looking for a wonderful companion, you might find one that is just right for you.

White Pines, CA...The Ebbetts Pass Moose Lodge went above and beyond the call of duty again this year as the Dick Heisinger Memorial Golf Tournament raised $16,397.42 for Hospice of the Sierra. It was another example of how the Loyal Order Of The Moose can have a great time and benefit the community in a very big way!!

Ebbetts Pass Scenic Byway Still Scenic After Washington Fire (Video) |

Markleeville, CA...Last weekend we had to drop an offspring for summer camp and thought it would be a good time to take a quick drive over Ebbetts Pass and to see how the Markleeville area looked after the over 15,000 acre Washington fire. We started taking shots in Bear Valley, Lake Alpine, Mosquito Lake Is At the 3:29 point, Hermit Valley and more before we got to the fire area. The Fire closed Hwy 4 and Hwy 89 for almost a week. The Hwy 4 area actually looks pretty good. Some burned areas but it looked like it was fairly fast moving in these areas and some of the trees will probably survive...
