GABA MIXER IS THURSDAY MAY 8TH....Our next mixer is coming up soon! We’re holding it a bit early this month. The Summer Season is almost upon us and it’s Frog Jump time already! Please join us at: PACIFIC STATE BANK IN ARNOLD (next to the Post Office) They would love to show of their newly remodeled office! THURSDAY, MAY 8TH, 5:30 TO 7:30. Appetizers will be served and there will be a no-host bar serving beer, wine and soft drinks. We will be holding a raffle so please bring something fun to share! We’d really like to see you there! Matt’s Update
"As of today, 4/21/08, Matt is over halfway through his radiation program. He has only (12) more treatments. He will then have a 5-6 week break before his chemo program. Matt has had some rough days the last two weeks. He’s been getting sicker than normal and the doctors are trying to find a medication that agrees with him. He hasn’t been able to put any of the weight back on that he lost during surgery. The doctors are getting concerned, and we have a consultation this Wednesday to discuss our options......

Calaveras County, CA....It was a big night for the Calaveras Visitors Bureau when they recently participated in the California Travel and Tourism Commission’s (CTTC) San Francisco Media Event held at the Ritz Carlton. The CVB came away with some great contacts as well as some recognition that Calaveras County can be proud of.....

Big Trees, CA...Reports are coming in that the Calaveras Bomb Squad and members of an armed services explosives unit spent quite a bit of time at a residence in the Big Trees area. We just spoke with Captain Clay Hawkins of the Calaveras Bomb Squad and they were called in at the request of a detective who was working a related case. They found quite a stash of explosives. There were several 105mm Howitzer shells, 8 40mm rounds, Numerous 20mm rounds and one Sabot Rounds There was also...

Murphys, CA....Stacy Apley is a cancer survivor, now on her second round of treatment. There has been a website set up for Stacy, www.swingforstacy.com. This website will keep the us all informed on Stacy's progress and also the fundraising efforts our community is involved in to help this family out. Stacy is a lovely woman who is married to a wonderful man and is blessed with three young children. She lives in Murphys with her family. The first fundraiser scheduled to be held is "The Stacy Apley Second Round Cancer Survivor Benefit Golf Tournament" with Dinner and Auction. It will take place on Friday, June 13, 2008, at Greenhorn Creek Golf Course......
