Hey Good People!!! The "Pure Mountain Fun" Keeps Coming!!

Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! Expect possible delays with Mtn Operations today's with increasing winds and snowfall 7" of new snow as of 5am this morning overnight and 10" in the last 24hrs. A mix of rain /snow is expected through the day today as the warm air aloft arrives with a projected snow elevation level of 7000'. 1-3" of snow is possible today with a 50/50 chance that it could go either way today being full rain or snow., we'll just have to wait and see how it plays out over the next few hours. The expected high is suggested to be 36F and falling to 28F by 3pm or so. Winds will be out of the South from 18-23mph with gusts to 34mph. Tonight will continue with a mix of rain and snow as the temp will again rise to around 38F during the early morning of Tuesday coupled with high winds in the 40-48mph range with gusts to 75mph and continuing out of the South. Tuesday could drop another 7-11" of new snow as the temps fluctuate and winds will again be out of the South from 31-36mph with gusts to 55mph. The Lower Mtn will be on hold today due to the higher elevation snow levels as concerns there are Avalanche related. It's been a handful of years since we've seen these type of events so expect some possible delays with operations in and around the resort over the next 4-5 days. Hey Good People!! Another 7" Of "Pure Mountain Full" Fell Overnight!!

Hey Good People! Expect possible delays for openings on the Mtn this morning and Lift Operations due to snowfall. 7" fell overnight and 16" for the storm total so far in the last 24hrs!!!!! Today as the storm tapers it's 1st wave we could pick up another 1-2" and then see snow showery weather into Sunday night when things then ramp back up! The high for today will be around 33F with SW winds from 6-9 mph. Tonight we'll see 27F as the low with moderate winds from 9-13 with gusts to 20mph. Sunday should remain mostly cloudy but by the late afternoon the next wave arrives Sunday night with 4-8" expected overnight with a possible element of rain/snow mix from around 4am to 10am then back to full on snow with 7-11" possible on Monday and 5-9" on Monday night! Continued snowfall will be in effect all week long and into the following weekend. Someone's been talking to Ullr............ Arnold, CA...Mother Nature Returns today bringing more rain & snow to the West Slope of the Northern Sierra Nevada. Today At lower elevations, heavy rain in the morning, then rain showers in the afternoon. At higher elevations, heavy rain and snow in the morning, then rain and snow showers in the afternoon. Windy. Highs 32 to 46 higher elevations...43 to 53 lower elevations. No snow accumulation lower elevations...3 to 6 inches higher elevations. Snow level 7000 feet decreasing to 6000 feet in the afternoon. Prevailing south winds 15 to 30 mph decreasing to 10 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Gusts up to 50 mph. Over ridges...prevailing south winds 30 to 45 mph becoming southwest 20 to 30 mph in the afternoon.

Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! Thursday morning brings with it cooling temps, clouds and snow to start this morning. The expected high will come in around 34F with South winds from 20-30mph and decreasing later in the afternoon but possible gusts up to 40mph are possible today. 2-4" could fall during the day today with another inch possible tonight. Then second wave arrives Friday with 3-5" during the day and 2-4 Friday night then as the 2nd pulse fades 1-2" is expected for Saturday.Continued snow will happen through the weekend and a warm pocket of air aloft will inject itself on Monday and a possible chance of rain initially as the third wave arrives then a return to snow by Tuesday and continued snow showers/unsettled weather will move through most of the week. U.O.P. Study Finds Cannabis Industry To Be Largest Industry In Calaveras

Stockton, CA...Legal Cannabis Totals 19% of Calaveras Economy and 21% of Local Jobs, Dwarfing All Other Industries. The University of the Pacific Center for Business and Policy Research released a comprehensive study of the impact of the cannabis industry in Calaveras. The study finds the total direct and indirect economic impact of the legal cannabis industry to be $339.2 million per year, or 19% of the total local Gross Regional Product (GRP), and contributes 3,400 jobs, or 21% of the total local workforce. The direct economic output of legal cannabis, $251 million, is by far the largest industry in Calaveras. To put this in perspective the total economic output of all other agricultural commodities combined in Calaveras totals $28 million. The next largest industry in Calaveras, Hospitality (which includes Tourism, Lodging, Restaurants and others), has a direct economic output of $167.5 million.
