Arnold, CA...Effective immediately, Linda Drive is closed from Moran Road to Blue Lake Springs Drive for emergency road repair. The road will be closed from February 23 and is expected to reopen on Wednesday, March 1, 2017.

Our festivities will include Patron Appreciation Day, Children's Day, Story Time with a firefighter and a visit to the Ebbetts Pass Fire Station #1, an author panel and book signing (Robin Burcell, Catriona McPherson, Allison Brennan, Eileen Rendahl, and Cindy Sample -- all award-winning Northern California Mystery writers), a visit from the State Librarian, Greg Lucas, a VIP Reception and the week ends with our annual Giant Book Sale. Not as cool. Highs 31 to 43 higher elevations...41 to 51 lower elevations. No snow accumulation lower elevations...8 to 13 inches higher elevations. Snow level 7500 feet. Prevailing south winds 10 to 25 mph, gusts up to 40 mph increasing to 55 mph in the afternoon. Gusts up to 75 mph in the afternoon. Over ridges...prevailing south winds 20 to 35 mph increasing to 40 to 60 mph in the afternoon. Tonight Heavy rain at lower elevations...and heavy rain and heavy snow at higher elevations. Very windy. Lows 26 to 38 higher elevations...37 to 43 lower elevations. No snow accumulation lower elevations...7 to 12 inches higher elevations. Snow level 7500 feet.
