Rumor Has It....Two More Candidates Are Entering the Race for Supervisor |

| Calaveras County, CA...Rumor has it that two more candidates have pulled papers to possibly run for Supervisor District 4 today. Sarah Lunsford of Murphys and Ron Klass also of Murphys are entering the Supervisorial Race against Tom Tryon. Ron Klass has run previously for this District seat in the past. Sarah Lunsford, a veteran of the local media scene, is a first time candidate. |

Arnold, CA....Welcome to our Leap Year Baby! We would like to welcome Tristan Bowie Abbott. He was born this morning at 7:30 am February 29, 2008. The proud parents are Lacey Maag Willis and John Abbott. Tristan weighed 8 lbs 14 oz. What a cutie!!!! Congratulations Abbott Family!

Arnold, CA...The Calaveras County Garden Club will hold its next general meeting on March 12, 2008 at Serafina's in Arnold. (The old "Weather Station" on the north side of Hwy 4.) The program will feature Jim Bergantz who is working to rally "green thumbs" to restore the operation of the Bret Harte High School Greenhouse. The objective of the Greenhouse Project is to modify the greenhouse so that it may be used as a teaching tool for Bret Harte students....

Rear End Chain Reaction Crash Sends San Jose Woman to Modesto Memorial Via Life-Flight |

Valley Springs, CA...A three vehicle rear end collision sent a 48 year old San Jose woman to Memorial Hospital by air last night. Two vehicles were stopped at a stop sign near the Hwy 12 & SR 26 intersection when the third vehicle struck them from behind. The vehicle was unable to stop for the waiting traffic. The impact drove the initial car struck into the back of another waiting car. The CHP release is enclosed...

Arnold, CA...Delores A. Bouchard passed away on February 25th, 2008. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday March 8, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Ebbetts Pass Moose Lodge #1123 1965 Blagen Road Arnold, Ca 95223. A potluck will follow the service. Delores A Bouchard was born July 13, 1936. She went to be with the Lord on February 25, 2008. Please come and join us in the Celebration of her life.
