Stanislaus National Forest Enacts Temporary Fire Restrictions in High Hazard Areas |

Sonora, CA...Due to high fire danger, the Stanislaus National Forest enacted temporary fire restrictions in High Hazard Areas on July 20, effective through the end of the official 2017 fire season. Included are the High Hazard Area map (Exhibit A), the Forest Order (Exhibit B) and the exemptions list (Exhibit C). Information on fire restrictions and the Forest Order are available at https://go.usa.gov/xRjQ5. Forest Order STF-16-2017-05 prohibits campfires, briquette barbecues and smoking outside developed campgrounds. Welding and blasting activities in are also restricted in designated High Hazard Areas of the Forest.

Arnold, CA...Last Saturday the new "Heart of Arnold" restaurant & events center's grounds and the rest of the Cedar Center's parking lots were filled with over 100 beautiful rolling works of art. Our coverage this year is sponsored by Arnold Auto Parts & High Country Spa & Stove. As is our tradition we tried to get at least one photo of every vehicle entered. It was a great show and a great day in Arnold. Clicking on the photos will take you to our new site with 1200 pixel wide photos of most if not all of the entries...

Ebbetts Pass CCWD Reach 3A Project Construction Update |

Arnold, CA...CCWD Construction Update: July 17-21: Construction crews will be testing recently installed pipeline on Blagen Road and tying the new section of pipeline into the main system, which could cause minor traffic delays in the area. Additional work will take place near the District’s Sawmill Tank on the hill above White Pines Lake, but that work is not expected to have any impact on the public. On July 20, work is expected to begin on the trenching and installation of new pipeline near the cabinet shop at the corner of Willow Street and Sequoia Road heading toward Cedar Center.

White Pines, CA...The Flea Market is our only fundraiser for the year. The proceeds provide for maintenance of the building and grounds. It is always held on the first full weekend in August. Donations to the Flea Market are accepted all year.
