Murphys, CA...Born in Hawaii, raised in a military family, and lived throughout the United States, Merita is committed to Calaveras County as home. She has lived in District 3 for 30 years, and is a member of local organizations from White Pines Park to Murphys Community Club. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science and Secondary Teaching Credential from the University of San Francisco. Her daughter, Brianna, is a graduate of Avery Middle School and Bret Harte High School.

Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People!. Today looks to be stellar with sunny skies and a high pushing up towards 50F. Early morning winds will be out of the ENE from 6-10mph then shifting to the WSW later in the afternoon. Sunday through late Monday night will bring a chance of snow showers to the Central Sierra. 1-3″ is expected for this system in total and then a return of cold air will take place with a few days of highs in the 20’s and nighttime lows in the low teens. With temps being much cooler we’ve been back at it with our snow making teams as we have fantastic conditions for skiing and riding so it’s a great time to bring the family or friends up for quality skiing/riding or just taking a lesson. Remember, we’re about “Pure Mtn Fun” so come check us out this Winter !!!!! stay tuned………………………….

Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! Friday is here and sunny skies abound! The high could reach 45F today with a light East wind in the a.m. then becoming variable in the afternoon. Saturday looks to be a repeat of today with a few degrees warmer then Sunday we'll see low pressure arrive with cold arctic air injecting itself into the area into mid week. With temps over the last few days being much cooler we've been back at it with our snow making teams as we have fantastic conditions for skiing and riding so it's a great time to bring the family or friends up for quality skiing/riding or just taking a lesson.
