Calaveras and Tuolumne Counties, CA...Golden State Cellular announces that on they are extending their public offering of a free hands free device to Mother Lode residents in anticipation of the new driving regulations effective July 1, 2008. “The response to this program has been overwhelming!” Stated Dan Rule, General Manager of Golden State Cellular. “We have had thousands of people take advantage of this offer.” Golden State Cellular offers a variety of hands free options at their retail stores located in Sonora, Angels Camp and Martell.

| Arnold, CA....Chapel in the Pines, on May11th through May 18, 2008, is on another rebuilding mission. Some may recall the mission to Long Beach, Mississippi back in March 2006. Long Beach, MS was one of many communities hit by Hurricane Katrina. Many homes were worked on that week. Many lives were encouraged by their loving acts of kindness...... |

Angels Camp, CA...."Committee members and community volunteers have been working diligently for the past months to make the sixth annual Relay for Life an event to remember. This year's Relay will be held at Bret Harte High School on April 26-27 from 10 a.m. to 10 a.m. Everyone is invited to participate in the event. Informational booths on various cancers will be available on site, as well as day-long entertainment, fun, food and games. For those who would like to .....

| Blue Lake Springs, CA.....A part time Blue Lake Springs resident, was getting ready to take a shower last night, and was faced with a little surprise....a bat had taken up residence in the shower curtain. He went to corral the critter to move outdoors, but with his lacking skills in bat-catching, he tried to capture it in a ever so popular Trader Joe's bag. Well, he was unsuccessful....instead he was bitten on the hand..... |

This meeting was informational and a great start in the dialogue to bring new ideas and efforts to improving the economic health and vitality of our local economy....
