Workshop objectives: treatments to reduce fuel loads in suburban parks and open space can create concerns about their potential ecological and environmental impacts. Calaveras County, CA...Update 4/28/11: Michael has received some very generous donations from our viewers! The family is so thankful! "I am so excited for him, what a wonderful opportunity he has before him and with his drive to do the best he can, hopefully he will place during the state competition. He is going to go back to the IGA in Copperopolis again tomorrow with his project to answer questions and share what he has discovered. Hopefully by the end of the day he will have reached his goal , he has a baseball game on Saturday morning" States Michael's Grandmother, Cindi Bent.....Local 8th grader, Michael Legge is headed to the State Science Fair! Michael won 1st place at the Calaveras County Science Fair in his division with his project "Mysterious Bacteria vs. Evil Tobacco." Michael is a student at Mark Twain Elementary and needs our help! Here is a letter from Michael: "Hello my name is Michael Legge and I am an 8th grade student at Mark Twain Elementary School. Mark Twain doesn't require students to do science fair projects but I went out and did one on my own. .....

Murphys, CA….The traumatic World War One began in the year 1914 and officially ended in 1919, when all the treaties had been signed, although fighting had ceased on November 11th 1918. Since then many authentic equipment and artifacts have been found and put into museums, some items in which have never been used. Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys has many unique items on display in their museum……

Angels Camp, CA….Last year the Angels Camp Fire Department in Angels Camp applied for and received a Community Development Block Grant Fund Money from state and federal funding agencies. Angels Camp Fire Department had two engines before receiving the grant money, engine 213 and engine 215. Engine 213 was purchased in 1998 making the engine over ten years old, which needed to be retired as a full time response engine. The department started brainstorming and came up with the idea of purchasing two new engines that could better serve the community during an emergency situation……….
