Columbia, CA...The Sonora Bach Festival, celebrating its 40th year, presents its Youth Finalists Concert, October 9, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. Featuring local performers under the age of 18, the concert will be held at the Church of the 49ers in Columbia. Tickets are available online at sonorabach.org , or by calling 536-6330. Tickets are also available at the door. More information is available on the Festival webpage and on the Festival’s Facebook page at SonoraBachFestival.

Charli Jo was born April,1st 2016 and after months of hospital visits and a lengthy surgery Charli Jo was diagnosed with a rare liver disease called Biliary Atresia. Charli Jo must undergo a liver transplant and your help and support is needed.

These brief surveys are conducted on every forest every five years and help us better understand who is coming to the forest and what the public wants from their experience while they are here.

But receiving the skillful care of a compassionate nurse can help relieve some of that stress. That is what Dede Mustill recently experienced when her husband was admitted to the ICU at Sonora Regional Medical Center. Taking advantage of a new program at the Medical Center, Mustill was able to recognize one of her husband’s nurses, Caleb Kirk, RN.

Outbreaks of WNV occur each summer in the United States and are most commonly transmitted to humans and animals through a mosquito bite from a mosquito harboring the virus. Public Health officials remind the community to take preventative measures to avoid mosquito-borne disease.
