Murphys CA...Texas 4000 Riders to Meet Cancer Patients. The Mark Twain Cancer Center will welcome the Texas 4000 to beautiful downtown Murphys Park on the afternoon of Sunday, June 25th. This peloton of University of Texas student/athletes will pedal the brutal 4000 miles from Austin, Texas to Anchorage, Alaska to support cancer awareness and prevention. The welcome celebration will include the rider’s sharing tales of their adventure with the audience, and connecting with current oncology patients. You many have seen crews working on the health club facility and they have completed enough repairs and upgrades to open for tours this Saturday & Sunday from 9am to 4pm on Saturday & Sunday this Memorial Day Weekend!! They will open for daily operation on June 1st. The pool is filled and ready for laps, cooling off, pool parties & lounging. The weight room is ready for sets & reps.
