Sonora, California. Golden State Cellular has added another cell site location in the East Sonora area of Tuolumne County. The site was constructed at a TUD facility located just off Mono Way near the Indian Rock Center. This is the first of three new cell sites to be located at TUD facilities as a result of an agreement signed earlier this year...

Angels Murphys Lions Presented $8,000 to The Logging Museum & Bret Hart Sports Complex Thursday Evening ~ By John Hamilton Video Enclosed |

Murphys, CA....The Angels Murphys Lions Club held a special meeting tonight to honor the Logging Museum in White Pines and the new Sports Complex in Angels Camp as the beneficiaries of their fundraising efforts. The majority of the funds given away tonight were received from the recent 1st Annual Car Show they hosted at the new Bret Harte Sports Complex a couple months back. Presenting the donations tonight was Lions President Paul Turounet. The Logging Museum was represented by John Hofstetter and received a check for $3,000 to benefit the Museum. Tony Tyrell & Theresa Locke were on hand to accept $5,000 for the Bret Hart Sports Complex...

Angels Camp, CA...The Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce held their August Mixer at Foothill Village in Angels Camp last night. Foothill was filled with Grub, Grog, Mixing and Mingling. Foothill Village was a great host business this month! Everyone seemed to have a good time and the business cards were flying...

They are one out of 2,000 golf courses nationwide that will be participating. Golfers will be asked to donate a minimum of $1 to the Folds of Honor Foundation. Murphys, CA...The Annual Shrimpfest filled Murphys Park on Saturday Night. The Angels Murphys Rotary Club threw another great party for the good causes they support. One to the primary beneficiary's of the community's largess this year will be the Murphys Pool and It's renovation project. Musical entertainment was provided by "Plan B." This group includes Rotarian Jim Bailey on Drums and they kept the park rocking all night long. As usual at these events the crowd was filled with local movers and shakers...
