AT&T Has Activated its Text-to-Donate Campaign For Detwiler Fire Relief

Mariposa, CA...To help those impacted by the Detwiler Wildfire in Mariposa County, CA, and other California wildfires, AT&T has activated its Text-to-Donate Campaign. Wireless customers can make a $10 donation to assist those affected by texting REDCROSS to 90999 to support the American Red Cross. Customers can text up to five times for a total donation of $50. AT&T won’t charge any fees for texting to donate. Customers will see their donation on their monthly AT&T bill. AT&T donates 100 percent of the proceeds to the American Red Cross.

Ebbetts Pass CCWD Reach 3A Project Construction Update

Arnold, CA...CCWD Construction Update: July 17-21: Construction crews will be testing recently installed pipeline on Blagen Road and tying the new section of pipeline into the main system, which could cause minor traffic delays in the area. Additional work will take place near the District’s Sawmill Tank on the hill above White Pines Lake, but that work is not expected to have any impact on the public. On July 20, work is expected to begin on the trenching and installation of new pipeline near the cabinet shop at the corner of Willow Street and Sequoia Road heading toward Cedar Center.

Washington, DC...U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) made the following remarks on the Senate floor today regarding the Better Care Reconciliation Act discussion draft that was released today: “The American people deserve better than Obamacare. Across the country, Americans are paying more for less under Obamacare. Already, Obamacare premiums have increased on average by more than 100% on the federal exchange. Next year, Obamacare premiums could rise by as much as 50% or more in states like Georgia and Maryland.
