Frogtoberfest This Friday! Don't Miss It! Streaming the Auction Live

We are streaming the Frog Auction Live Now at Angels Camp, CA...This Friday the Chamber of Commerce of Calaveras County will be holding the First Annual Frogtoberfest. The Frogtoberfest will continue the tradition started in 2003 of selling giant Painted Frogs by auction for Charity. The Chamber of Commerce has raised over $300,000 for local charities in the past 2 auctions. On Friday, October 30th, at the Frogtoberfest, 15 Frogs will be sold via auction. Local businesses and individuals paid $2,500 to sponsor these frogs back in early 2008. When the Sponsors signed onto the project they selected a charity to benefit when the Frog sold at the Auction. The Charities this year are....

Angels Camp, CA...On the 17th of October, Historic Downtown Angels Camp was the place to be if you liked Music, Parades, Great Deals, Old Towne Fun and more. The Angels Camp Business Association, The Angels Camp Branding Team and the Calaveras Chamber teamed up to put on a great day for the whole family. ACBA held there fall sidewalk sale, Angels Camp City Council Candidate George Fry sponsored the "Chains Required" concert, The Brand Leadership Team sponsored a mountain activity gear swap and the Chamber held their Frogtoberfest Parade of Frogs leading up to their Big Frogtoberfest Auction this Friday Night at Frogtown....

Valley Springs, CA....The Valley Springs Area Business Association (ABA) held its October Luncheon at the Rancho Calaveras Property Owners Business Association's Clubhouse on Thursday. Guest speaker, Calaveras County Supervisor Russ Thomas, spoke of his upcoming trip to Washington DC and about plans to improve the O’Byrnes Ferry Road Bridge. Supervisor Thomas said that he plans to leave next Tuesday to travel with a delegation from the Calaveras County Water District to Washington DC. While there the group will speak with Senator Diane Feinstein, the office of Congressman Dan Lungren, and members from the Corp. of Engineers. The goal is to keep Calaveras ......

Angels Camp, CA...A good sized crowd was on hand last night to watch the debate between Candidates, Rick Downey and George Fry as they sparred for votes in their race for an Angels Camp City council seat. Betty Raggio was absent but did send a letter that was read to the crowd by Camp's proprietress Sherri Smith. The debate followed the time worn format with each candidate getting a few minutes to state their case before the questions commenced...
