Re: Bear Valley Development Project....The communities of Calaveras County are all very dependent on businesses like Bear Valley that generate tourist business. There are only a handful of businesses that attract large amounts of tourists to this area year-round, and Bear Valley has the potential to have the biggest impact of all. Washington, DC...I’ll be heading off to Copenhagen later this week, but before I go I wanted to take some time to explain what it is the U.S. Chamber and its Institute for 21st Century Energy would like to see coming out of Copenhagen. It’s appearing more and more likely that in two weeks’ time, we’ll get a political deal that will set the stage for further rounds of negotiations leading up to Mexico City in December 2010 where countries will sign off on a new post-2012 agreement. Murphys Business Association Gets Ready for Christmas

Murphys, CA...On Wednesday afternoon members of the Murphys Business Association were out in force trimming a gorgeous tree from Kautz Vineyards that is the official Murphys Christmas Tree for 2009. The stately tree resides at the corner of Main and Jones and will officially be unveiled during the Murphys Open House tonight. The MBA has done a wonderful job over the years helping Murphys and Calaveras County become one of the up and coming tourist draws in the state...

ACBA has "Decked The Halls" Again This Year With Oover 200 Christmas Boughs!

Angels Camp, CA...You may have noticed if you have traveled through Angels Camp the last few days that it is looking rather festive. The Angels Camp Business Association President Bob Menary stated at the City Council Meeting that ACBA made over 200 Holiday Boughs again this year. The Boughs were hung all the way from the Middleton's Mark Twain Shopping Center through downtown. Also coming up this weekend is the Angels Camp Christmas Parade. The parade will start 11am at Bret Harte High School and continue through downtown. After the parade Santa Will be at The Calaveras Visitors Bureau....
