Bear Valley, Calif., (January 12, 2015) –Skyline International Development, Inc., Canada’s leading owner, operator and developer of hospitality resorts and destination communities, has completed its purchase of Bear Valley Mountain Resort after receiving a permit to operate the resort from the US Forest Service. The 1,700-acre Bear Valley ski area includes: nine chair lifts, a 2,000-stall parking lot, and a 40,000 sq. ft. mountain base lodge. “I strongly believe that we have acquired one of the most beautiful properties in Northern California and we cannot wait to bring the full experience here,” says Skyline CEO Michael Sneyd. “We are pleased with this addition to our ever-growing hotel and resorts portfolio. We look forward to providing an exemplary standard of hospitality service to Bear Valley.”

Washington, DC...U.S. Secretary of Labor Thomas E. Perez issued the following statement about the December 2014 Employment Situation report released today: “The U.S. economy closed out the year on a continued hot streak – 252,000 new jobs, with the unemployment rate falling to 5.6 percent. December was the 58th consecutive month of private sector job growth, to the tune of 11.2 million jobs. Average unemployment for 2014 was down 1.2 percentage points from 2013, the largest decrease since 1984....

This week-long celebration of local restaurants is also being promoted as part of a larger Visit California Restaurant Month campaign, Dine in California. The idea is to bring the awareness of the quality of dining we have right here in Tuolumne County by getting local residents and visitors out to experience our many wonderful restaurants.
