The Christmas Spirit Continues With "Christmas to Remember" Fundraiser Dec. 7-8

Posted by: thepinetree on 11/20/2016 07:18 PM
Calaveras County, CA...Volunteer community groups will be out in force December 7th and 8th collecting money for the annual “Christmas to Remember” which provides students in need the opportunity to purchase new clothing for the winter season. “We have phenomenal support from our communities, and the pride on the children’s faces when they go shopping is even better. It really reminds us of the true spirit of giving,” said Mark Campbell, Calaveras Unified School District superintendent and a co-chairperson with Gene Weatherby of Mokelumne Hill.

New York A.G. Schneiderman On $25 Million Settlement Agreement Reached In Trump University Case

Posted by: thepinetree on 11/18/2016 05:01 PM
Albany, NY...Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman issued the following statement on the $25 million settlement agreement reached in Trump University case: In 2013, my office sued Donald Trump for swindling thousands of innocent Americans out of millions of dollars through a scheme known as Trump University. Donald Trump fought us every step of the way, filing baseless charges and fruitless appeals and refusing to settle for even modest amounts of compensation for the victims of his phony university. Today, that all changes. Today's $25 million settlement agreement is a stunning reversal by Donald Trump and a major victory for the over 6,000 victims of his fraudulent university.

Carrie's Critter Couture & Biscuit Bar, Animals Are Our World!

Posted by: thepinetree on 11/14/2016 02:19 PM
Arnold, CA...Carrie's Critters Couture evolved from understanding what pet parents loved most about her mobile grooming service. Pets prefer individualized attention on their "Spa Day." Without the distraction of other animals, they are quiet, relaxed and enjoy their experience. People recognize this when their dogs rush to greet her and are not stressed or upset when their grooming is concluded.

DA Uses the Wrong Ring to “Decode” Measure D ~ Barden Stevenot

Posted by: thepinetree on 11/05/2016 01:56 PM
San Andreas, CA...I guess I received a different decoder ring in my box of Wheaties. The DA says that in order to decode Measure D, you must have mastery of at least four legal disciplines. Wow, that’s a lot of schooling to decipher what amounts to a pretty clear-cut ordinance governing land use in Calaveras County. This decoder nonsense would lead one to believe that only the most sophisticated and broadly learned attorney could possibly decipher Measure D. That’s just not true. However, decoding the district attorney’s arguments only requires a logical mind, never mind multiple degrees.
