Emergency CCWD Project Completed in Arnold: Water Service Returns to Normal

Posted by: thepinetree on 01/19/2017 10:02 AM
Arnold, CA...As of 8:30 this morning, CCWD completed the emergency water transmission line tie-in project and water service has returned to normal for the Arnold community. During construction projects of this nature, it is common for minerals to be dislodged from the inside walls of pipelines, which can cause customers to experience discolored water. Crews are flushing lines in the Arnold area this morning to minimize these impacts. However, it’s important to remember that even if the water is discolored, it is completely safe to drink and poses no health risk. If customers would like to flush their personal plumbing systems to remove the discolored water, they can turn on an outside faucet at the lowest point on the property and let it run until the water turns clear.

Some Arnold Customers May Experience Low Water Pressure Tonight

Posted by: thepinetree on 01/18/2017 07:02 PM
Arnold, CA...Some CCWD customers in Arnold may experience low water pressure tonight (January 18) through tomorrow morning (January 19), due to work on an ongoing emergency water transmission line construction project. This project was initially expected to be complete by 10 p.m. January 18, but poor weather conditions created challenging working conditions. CCWD now expects to restore normal water service to all Arnold customers by tomorrow morning. The District is grateful to the Blue Lake Springs Mutual Water Company for providing water from one of its storage tanks during this project to help supplement Arnold’s water supply and reduce the impacts to CCWD customers.

Posted by: thepinetree on 01/18/2017 05:28 PM
San Andreas, CA...Julie Eckardt-Cantrall is the new Chief Philanthropy Officer for the Mark Twain Medical Center Foundation. Her goal is to raise awareness that individual giving plays a key role in improving health care excellence. “Awareness is the first step in fundraising,” she says. “We want people to know their personal donations to the Foundation are needed, important and appreciated. We understand that a gift of $50 may be quite a stretch for one individual, while others might choose to donate larger amounts,” she notes. “A balance of large and small gifts is essential – and each should receive equal gratitude.”

Some Parts Of Arnold May Be Without Water On January 18 For Emergency Pipeline Repair!

Posted by: thepinetree on 01/17/2017 10:28 PM
San Andreas, CA…With the recent flooding of Big Trees Creek in White Pines that damaged Blagen Road and exposed a portion of Calaveras County Water District’s (CCWD) old water transmission pipeline that still serves the town of Arnold, CCWD has taken steps to help protect the pipeline from failure as the creek, and debris flowing in it, could cause it to break. After thoroughly evaluating all available options to further protect the community’s water supply, CCWD has determined it is necessary to move forward in taking this section of the old pipeline out of service by expediting connection to the recently constructed Reach 3A water transmission main. Tomorrow, Wednesday, January 18, 2017,

Patient Comfort Is Goal For Diagnostic Imaging Team At Mark Twain Medical Center

Posted by: thepinetree on 01/13/2017 07:52 PM
San Andreas, CA...The Diagnostic Imaging team at Mark Twain Medical Center knows their services can be scary. That’s why they concentrate as much on patient service skills as they do on state-of-the art equipment. Imaging Services Director Rick Reed explains, “We understand that our tests can create some anxious situations for patients. The equipment can be intimidating, so it’s important we help patients understand the process and make the experience as pleasant as possible. We emphasize these tests are a critical first step in their treatment.” The department provides a wide range of services and averages some 2,500 tests a month. On-site that includes general X-ray, CT scan, nuclear medicine, ultra sound, mammography, and MRI; plus a mobile PET CT that visits MTMC every other week.
