After 18 months of living out of her camp trailer since the Butte Fire leveled her home in 2015, Mary Sacks walked 20 feet across a makeshift sidewalk of wooden pallets into her brand new home constructed entirely by volunteers. On Tuesday, Sack's modest home was formally dedicated by members of the Mennonite Disaster Services who had travelled from throughout Canada and the Northwest to help build Sack's home. About 40 people participated in the Bible readings, hymn and presentation of a handmade, heart-shaped quilt, and bible.
