Owners of Burned Historic Victorian Want Your Suggestions |
Posted by: thepinetree on 02/22/2013 10:14 AM

Murphys, CA...The owners of the Historic Victorian that housed the Renner Tasting Room would like your advice and suggestions. While still deeply saddened at it's loss they are starting necessary task of making plans to rebuild. As it looks like what is left of the structure will have to be completely removed they would like to know what the community would like to see in it's place. Should they try to recreate the structure which had many deficiencies as a commercial structure or put a completely new design in it's place? If new what type of structure would be appropriate for Downtown Murphys? We have just spoke with the Calaveras County Building Department and their policy is to try and fast track rebuilding projects like this one to get owners lives back on track as quickly as possible. This will be our poll this week So please make votes and leave comments there. Thanks so much!!

Murphys, CA...Calaveras County's Wine Region worked it's magic last weekend with big, enthusiastic crowds, perfect weather, and a picture perfect Murphys backdrop. The winery properties and tasting rooms on Main Street rolled out the red, white and more for the throngs. If this weekend was a precursor of what we can expect on future events this year then if the weather cooperates Irish Day should fill Murphys to overflowing. We took an hour or so taking some shots from one end of town to the other trying to pass along the feel of the day. It was mostly a visitor crowd but a few locals like Mike Croshaw, Skye Cirello, Tami & Jeff Taurian and Kristina Van Cleave pictured below bravely waded into the Main Street Crowds...
