Lake Alpine has been tough fishing due to the recent heat. The fish have moved to deeper water. Trollers should try Apex, Needlefish, and Rapala's behind a small dodger tipped with a nightcrawler or try a flasher/nightcrawler combo. Fly fishermen should try woolly buggers, flying ants,nymphs, and sparrow nymphs. Bank fishermen should try nightcrawlers, Gulp Power Eggs, Gulp Power Bait, Gulp Nightcrawlers, floating Power Eggs,and salmon eggs. Lure casters should try Kastmasters, Panther Martin spinners, and Rooster Tails....

New Melones, CA....Water Conditions: New Melones Lake is currently holding 1,213,243 acre-feet of water. The lake water level dropped three feet last week and is at 970 ft. above sea level and 118 ft. from full capacity. Water in the main lake is approximately 76-79 degrees. Water is gin clear in the main lake, with a strong mud line forming at shore. ....

Valley Springs, CA....On July 17th the Murphys Dolphins swam against the Valley Springs Stingrays and came out on top for the second time. This Saturday, July 26th is the "BIG" Tri-Meet at Calaveras High School Pool, where all three teams compete against each other. Attached is the complete results from the July 17th meet........
