Bear Valley's J3's Compete at Sugar Bowl Junior Olympic Qualifier Slalom

Bear Valley, CA...Bear Valley's J3s competed at the first Junior Olympic Qualifying race of the season on Jan 19-21 at Sugar Bowl. The field included 89 men and 72 ladies competing for points toward qualifying for this year's JOs in Bogus Basin, ID. The weekend started out with favorable weather but snow showers moved in by Monday making visibility and snow conditions a bit tough. Nonetheless our team put in a good performance on all three days....

Avery Middle School and Mark Twain 8th Graders Are In!

It looks like Avery Middle School and Mark Twain 8th Graders are in! They have made it to the South Lake Tahoe Optimist Club 43rd Annual Winter Classic Basketball Tournament. It is being held this weekend, starting today, January 18th and going through Monday, at South Tahoe Middle School. The first game for Avery will be held today at 3pm on the old gym against South Tahoe. Their next game will be held on Saturday morning at 9am. Mark Twain will play Friday night at 5:30pm in the new gym against Carson City and their next game will be Saturday at 12:45pm. Congrats guys! It looks like there are about 16 schools in all participating in this tournament.

Space is limited and advanced reservations are required. For a select group of skiers and snowboarders, the lifts will start turning an hour early (7:30a). Join Bear Valley's CEO, Martin, and be guided around the mountain by their expert instructors and patrolers, to find the best tracks on the hill! This program is highly recommended for advanced skiers/boarders only....

Bear Valley, CA...Good Morning Skiers & Snowboarders! The mountain is 100% open offering up 1900' vertical top to bottom skiing! It's a beautiful day and it looks like temps will warm into the 40's during the week. Start making plans to be there for Martin Luther King weekend. Saturday kicks off Safety Week & will host a FREE Progression Session terrain park clinic. On Sunday Jan 20th, get ready for Winter Explosion - live music, torchlight parade, fireworks & dinner. Full snow report is enclosed....

Bear Valley to Host AT&T GS Race Series This Weekend!

Bear Valley, CA....Bear Valley Mountain Resort will host the first of it's AT&T GS Race Series this Saturday, January 19th. Other race dates of this series are February 16th and March 15th, 2008. Bear Valley's GS Racing is an awesome way to spend your afternoon. Open to all ages and abilities, test your times against other Bear Valley riders. Registration: Sign up the day of the race at the slope-side Special Events shack from 9:30am~10:30am. Entry Fees are $10/race for Adults (13+) and $5/race for Kids (12 and under). $20 Bib Deposit.
