Lake Alpine has been excellent fishing this past week as DFG stepped up fish plants. Bait casters should try Gulp Power Eggs, Gulp Power Bait, Floating Power Eggs, Gulp Nightcrawlers, inflated nightcrawlers, and salmon eggs on a 24" to 30" leader using a sliding sinker. Lure casters should try Kastmasters, Panther Martin spinners, and Rooster Tails. Trollers should try Apex, Needlefish, Glo Bugs, Triple Teazers, and Wedding Rings behind a small dodger tipped either with a nightcrawler or a Gulp Nightcrawler. You must troll slow, 1 to 1.2 mph. Fly fishermen have been using woolly buggers, stone fly nymphs, ants, adams, stimulators and bead head nymphs. Try using a sinking fly line for better success.....
