Pullman, WA...Brett Downey the 2007 Bret Harte Graduate saw his first game action in a UCLA uniform on Saturday. It must have seemed for Brett like this day would never come. He red-shirted his first year on the UCLA squad and just this last weekend earned his first playing time. You had to know that this day would come as how could you keep a 6 foot 7 and now 290lb. player in the wings forever. When we asked his dad and incoming AC City Councilman about his first minutes Rick had this to say...

San Andreas, CA...This year the battle for the Bell was in San Andreas. The 83rd playing of the Big Game was closer than the score showed. The Frogs were able to move the ball without the benefit of a quarterback through lots of run plays and some jump passes. What really helped the Redskins scalp the Frogs was turnovers. Bret Harte had several drives on the move and were down in the red zone and the ball ended up in Redskin hands. Click below for action shots by Jeff Rasmussen. We also have our webcast replay of the game in a previous post...

San Andreas, CA....Tatiana Beilstein, a Calaveras High School student and also daughter of Tammy Beilstein took these great photos for your enjoyment Friday during their Rally before The Big Game. Apparently, it is a tradition for the football players to make their coaches drink some sort of disgusting blended mixture made by their players. Some of the ingredients Tatiana remembers are cat food, A1 Sauce, and football player Jake Fischer's sandwich. That is what the tarp on the floor was all about...

Two Calaveras Jr. Redskins teams made it to the 2009 Super Bowl played at Amador High School. Both fought to the end, but unfortunately, only one came home with a victory. VARSITY: Once again the Calaveras Jr. Redskins Varsity team returned from the Super Bowl with a giant victory. Because of their exceptional record, the Jr. Reds’ domination over the Jr. Cowboys was practically expected by the Red’s team and their fans, but the win was a fantastic thrill none the less.....
