Bruins-Flyers at Sunset Perfect Way to End NHL Outdoors at Lake Tahoe Event

Posted by: thepinetree on 02/22/2021 04:26 PM
Stateline, NV...Hockey heaven. That's what it was. It was a sight unlike any the NHL had ever seen and may ever see again. The sun set behind the Sierra Nevada late in the first period of the Boston Bruins' 7-3 win against the Philadelphia Flyers in the Honda NHL Outdoors Sunday, and suddenly, from the aesthetics to the ice to the competition, it all came together even better than the League had planned. "Oh, man, it was beautiful," Bruins forward David Pastrnak told NBCSN. "We enjoyed every second of it, as you could see."

The Future Lindseys, Mikaelas & Bodes Slalomed & Giant Slalomed at Rasmussen Classic

Posted by: thepinetree on 02/11/2021 11:08 PM
Bear Valley, CA...This season’s Rasmussen Classic Race was held on Saturday and Sunday February 6 & 7. Originally, scheduled for January 9 & 10 as two SL races the event was postponed until after January 25 due to Far West Division of US Ski & Snowboard guidelines to comply with various State and County restrictions. With the race season compressed due to the temporary moratorium, the Central Series GS race usually held in February was cancelled. This provided the opportunity to change the Rasmussen Classic to include one SL and one GS.

The Bucs Take Superbowl 31-9, Brady Superbowl MVP for 5th Time & Leads New Group to Promised Land!

Posted by: thepinetree on 02/08/2021 10:45 AM
Tampa Bay, FL...We didn't want to follow the Super Bowl yesterday. We had a ton of work to do but we got drawn in by Brady's effort to slow down father time. Not only that it was to see if he could help a new group of 50 guys take a Super Bowl title. For us the real interesting part was could he use what he's learned over the years to help build another winning team. The answer at least on the scoreboard as time ran out was yes. It reminded us of the old Zig Ziglar quote "You can get everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want". Congratulations Tom Brady and the Buccaneers and thanks for showing us all that in some ways age truly is just a number.

A Safe Super Bowl Sunday is CHP’S Goal

Posted by: News_Desk on 02/07/2021 12:21 PM
Sacramento, CA...Football fans may have to come up with a new game plan for this year’s Super Bowl festivities, but the California Highway Patrol (CHP) still reminds everyone to put safety first. California’s public health recommendations encourage residents to gather outdoors and with no more than three households. In addition, Californians should stay close to home and limit non-essential travel to reduce the transmission of COVID-19. If you must travel, the CHP wants to remind you of some important traffic safety tips to help you arrive safely: drive sober, avoid distractions, always buckle up and leave plenty of time to get to your destination.

Posted by: thepinetree on 12/07/2020 10:50 AM
Columbia, CA...Growing safety concerns surrounding COVID-19 and Tuolumne County’s inclusion in the recent Regional Stay Home Order have led to the cancellation of Columbia College volleyball and basketball through the spring of 2021. We remain hopeful that the 2021-2022 season will bring Athletics back to the Oak Pavilion and the community will be there to support our dedicated athletes.
