Amador County Moves to Yellow Tier

Amador County, CA...Amador County Public Health reports 10 more cases of COVID-19 since last Tuesday’s update, bringing the total laboratory confirmed case count to 1,786. The new cases include 7males and 3 females, 2 children under age 18, 3 aged 18-49, 2 aged 50-64, 3 over 65 years of age; 3 residents of Jackson, 5 living in Plymouth, 1 in Pine Grove and 1 residing in Sutter Creek/Amador City. Two Amador residents are currently hospitalized.

Amador COVID-19 Update

Amador County, CA... Amador County Public Health reports 6 more cases of COVID-19 since last Tuesday’s update, bringing the total laboratory confirmed case count to 1,776. The new cases include 2 males and 4 females, 1 aged 18-49, 3 aged 50-64, 2 over 65 years of age; 2 residents of Jackson, 3 living in Plymouth, and 1 in Sutter Creek/Amador City. The Amador COVID-19 statistics dashboard is now updated twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays.

CAL FIRE Suspends Burn Permits in Alpine, Amador, El Dorado, Eastern Sacramento and North-Eastern San Joaquin Counties

Camino, CA....The increasing fire danger posed by dead grass, dry brush and live vegetation combined with hotter, drier conditions in the region is prompting CAL FIRE to suspend all burn permits for outdoor residential burning within the State Responsibility Areas of Alpine, Amador, El Dorado, Sacramento and San Joaquin Counties. This suspension takes effect at 12:00 AM on Monday, May 10th, 2021 and bans all residential outdoor burning of landscape debris such as branches and leaves.

Governor Newsom Expands Drought Emergency to 41 Counties Including, Alpine, Amador, Calaveras, El Dorado, Nevada, Placer & Tuolumne

Sacramento, CA...Governor Gavin Newsom today significantly expanded his April 21 drought emergency proclamation to include Klamath River, Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta and Tulare Lake Watershed counties where accelerated action is needed to protect public health, safety and the environment. In total, 41 counties are now under a drought state of emergency, representing 30 percent of the state’s population.
