Hwy 88 Collision Takes The Lives Of 76 Year Old Pine Grove Man & His Dog. |

Pine Grove, CA...A 38 year old Pine Grove woman was allegedly traveling westbound on SR-88 at a high rate of speed and driving recklessly, while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. A 76 year old Pine Grove man (Update...The Amador Sheriff's Dept has released his name as Norman Albert Vogt) and his dog were traveling at or below the speed limit eastbound in a 1992 Ford pickup, followed by a Pioneer man in a Ford van. Due to her level of intoxication and unsafe speed for the conditions, lost control of her vehicle as she entered a right turn in the roadway. She crossed over the centerline and collided head on into the Ford pickup causing severe impact damage.

Pine Grove, CA...(Update...Roadway now open) There has been another fatal collision on our local roadways. Thre has been a 4 vehicle head on collision on Hwy 88 near Aqueduct Road. They have a hard closure in effect until they have finished processing and clearing the incident. Our thoughts and prayers are with those involved and affected. Please be careful out there folks....

Murphys, CA...(Update...Utica Grade to close for an hour for debris removal) Another busy hour on our local roadways. Topping this hour is another mud, dirt and rocks incident on the Utica Grade on Hwy 4. Murphys Creek levels will remain high during this storm.

Sonora, CA...The pace of road condition changes has accelerated to where we could do almost non-stop updates. To curb against just a flood (ok bad choice of words) we will be doing hourly updates and bundle them together a bit. At the top of this update is the latest mud, dirt & rocks in the roadway update on Hwy 108 near Chicken Ranch Road. The other updates within the last hour area below...
